A Combined Psychotherapeumetric-Pharmacopsychometric Triangle for Measurement Based Care and Quality of Life Assessment

Details

Measurement-based care, which includes routine measurement of symptoms, illness behaviors, treatment impacts, and quality of life, constitutes empirical and evidence-based healthcare service provision. Using pharmacotherapy, it illustrates the balance between drug clinical effects (upper left vertex A) and drug side effects (upper right vertex B) while taking into account the self-reported resulting wellbeing (lower vertex C). However, as essential as pharmacopsychometric triangle model is, there seems to be no model similar to it for psychotherapeutic measurements. The present call aims at ensuring integrated measurement-based care and quality of life assessment, using a combination of psychotherapeumetric triangle and pharmacopsychometric triangle as a model, among patients. The pharmacopsychometric triangle has been in existence as a known model but the (coined nomenclature) "psychotherapeumetric" triangle needs to be developed as a new model before integrating them together as a combined triangle model.

Inclusion Criteria

The inclusion criteria are two categories of populations: (1) Health Care Professionals (2) Persons with ill-health (i.e patients and clients)
