Comparative study on level of hope after Psycho-therapeutic treatment among Adult Male and Female in Karachi Pakistan

Background: Hope is defined as the perceived capability to derive pathways to desired goals, and motivate oneself via agency thinking to use those pathways. Many studies shows that stress buffering variables like social support, perceived stress, optimism and religious are reduce the stress level in people (Schonfeld 1991; Cohen et al,. 1983 Pargmant 1990). Therefore the hypotheses of this Research are; 1) There is a significant relationship between psychotherapy and hope; the higher the level of psychotherapy, the lower the level of hope. 2) There is a significant relationship between distress and depression; the higher the level of distress, the higher the level of depression. 3) There is a significant relationship between distress and religious coping; the higher the level of distress, the lower the level of religious coping.
