ISARIC - International Savere Acute Respiratory Infection Consortium
ISARIC - International Severe Acute Respiraotry and Emerging Infection Consortium - is a global initiative aiming to ensure that clinical researchers have the open access protocols and data-sharing processes needed to facilitate a rapid response to emerging diseases that may turn into epidemics or pandemics. In the future we will be looking to collaborate in the design and operation of varied clinical studies and trials to improve the availability of evidence-led interventions in epidemics and novel disease outbreaks. We have embarked on an observational study on novel coronavirus in the UK, and we have published a generic SARI protocol with accompanying documents, which has been published and shared through our website http://isaric.tghn.org/articles/isaric-and-who-sari-and-natural-history-protocols/. So far, 10 countries have submitted it for national approval, or are considering to do so in the near future.
We are interested in hearing from sites who would like to work on respiratory disease studies in emerging outbreaks.
If you are interested in collaborating with us on a future project then we suggest that you register your site on this facility. We will be using Site-Finder.org to look for future partner sites and so if you list your research interests and experience here then we can find you.
