The Matero Clinical Research Site, located within the Matero First Level Hospital premises which is situated in the Matero Constituency in the northern part of Lusaka city has a current population of 320,580 and is divided into ten zones.
The site has several staff with experience in clinical trials majority ranging from 6-20 years and has conducted more than 10 clinical trials since 2012.

Other information

The site has a range of infrastructure available, including a pharmacy with refrigerators and freezers with backup power generators. Despite the current load shedding in Zambia, the research site has a constant electricity supply. The site is equipped with private consulting rooms, waiting rooms, emergency trolleys, and other clinical features. The CRS also has an onsite lab which is capable of conducting simple tests and used to prepare and transport samples to the CIDRZ central Laboratory.
