Haramaya University is the 2nd largest and oldest university here in Ethiopia. The University established and running college Health and medical sciences since 1996. The college is running Two PhD programs in Public health and Medical Micro Biology, Medical school, 6 Master's studies, 8 undergraduate programs, Research and publication office and an institutional Research Ethics review committee. In addition our college serving for the community through 1 specialized University Hospital and 5 clinics and 1 higher health center.
