St Mary’s hospital , Lacor is a catholic-based institution founded 1959 by Comboni Missionaries and Diocese of Gulu.
Mission: To provide quality health services to the poor at a cost affordable to all
The hospital is 350 km from Kampala and has a bed capacity of 476, mainly serving the population of Northern Uganda & beyond.

The hospital has paediatric facilities including 166 beds and an annual admission of around 17,000 children.

Major causes of morbidity in the area include Malaria, ARI, Diarrhea, Anemia, PEM, BSI/Sepsis. Malaria accounts for around 40% of morbidities.
